Participative project
The participative project ” Collective future ” invites the audience to drink some Turkish / Greek coffee with us; to have a small chat, to gossip a bit.
As a part of the community, the public is expected to participate in the project as a collective, as one. In order to the process, the result from the coffee grounds refer to one utter future. Thus, the conjunct fortune will be given to professional fortune tellers; who will read for us the common destiny of the society, in fortune tellers´ tradition.
To be known, in this unstable and uncertain future; piles of political, economical and social researches, analyses and prognoses are founded in Statistics and in many other different contemporary methods. Whereas in contrast to that, we suggest an unconventional forecasting, pure mysticism and divination. In its roots our method has the same lines as the contemporary forecasts: collecting and analyse of data using patterns and algorithms.
Particularly in practice, the project ” Collective Future” consists of two phases. For the first part, one day event is dedicated to “collecting” data with the kind assistance of the audience. The second part is processing the information and presenting it in public.
The project has been shown within the frameworks of “ Intermedia Bodyartistic research meeeting” in Ars Electronca Center Nov 2016, OÖ Kulturquartier Sommerfest July 2016, Pafos European Capital of Culture April 2017 and ‘Night/ Plovdiv’ Night of Museums and Galleries Sept 2017.
